The main framework of a prefabricated steel structure factory consists of light steel components-such as H-beams and C-sections-joined by bolting or welding to form a stable structure.

Regarding materials, Q235 and Q355 steels are commonly used: Q235 is more cost-effective and suitable for standard load-bearing requirements, while Q355 offers higher strength, making it ideal for long-span or heavy-load applications. Steel plate thicknesses typically range from 6 to 30 cm, adjusted based on parameters such as span and load; for instance, a large factory spanning 3,680 square meters might utilize 25–30 cm thick plates to ensure stability. Steel consumption is controlled at 20–50 kg per square meter, balancing structural integrity with the avoidance of material waste.
